Christmas morning is truly magical for me. While I love watching my family open the gifts I’ve purchased, wrapped, and tagged for them, that's not exactly the part that fills my holiday bucket.  Oddly enough, the real excitement for me comes with the thought of finding a place in our home for each new item -- the thrill of purging old toys, and organizing all the new odds and ends into bins, baskets and baggies.

We all know the saying, “Everything has a place”, and for me, that couldn't be more true.  In fact, I'd almost call that my personal mantra.

The house I’m constantly tidying, I live in with my husband (also, conveniently. an orderly person who fuels my obsessions), 11-year-old daughter and 9-year-old twins. It's quite literally a revolving closet door -- three of them to be exact -- of "out with the old, in with the new" -- and I look forward to bringing that same sense of accomplishment and satisfaction to my clients.

A life-long seeker of logic and order and a self-declared connoisseur of sensible spaces, aesthetic symmetry speaks to me. Read: I like to organize stuff!

My earliest inspiration was the Berenstain Bears Messy Room book…remember how Papa made a peg board to hold all the hats, and a toy chest to house all the stuffed animals? The Before and Afters in that book still make me happy, and it’s on frequent rotation in my house, as I’m willing it to inspire my next generation of Lego-leavers and sock-droppers.  I like to look at the glass half-full – as in, the random seven I tend to find around my home at any given time, and the subsequent desire I then get to come up with a better system to manage it all!

I live with my husband and three boys, and eternally strive to balance the tipping scale of testosterone with all the girl power I can muster…and a holster of Clorox for the all-too-frequent quick draw.
